Tobacco Use to be Banned in Norwegian Schools

Use of tobacco products will be banned in Norwegian schools starting from the next month, reported the Norwegian-language newspaper Dagbladet on Wednesday.

The ban will take effect on July 1 when the long summer vacation begins.

When Norwegian students return to school after the coming summer vacation, they will meet with a total ban on tobacco products during school hours.

The new and strict tobacco rules apply when students are on school grounds, on their way to school and during tours and excursions organized by schools.

School staff members and visitors have to go out of school grounds if they want to use tobacco.

There will be consequences for violators of the ban, according to the Dagbladet report. Enditem
