Poland:Majority of adults support smoke-free public places Source from: euro.who.int,29-01-2014 01/30/2014 In January 2014, Poland released its results from a tobacco survey conducted during November 2013, surveying adults 15 years and older. Highlights from the 2013 tobacco survey in Poland are as follows: Approximately 27% of men, 18% of women and 22% overall currently smoked tobacco. 76% of the adult population support a complete smoking ban in all enclosed public places: 93% support a ban in places of workshop, 92% support a ban in hospitals, 92% support a ban in public transportation, 91% support a ban in schools, 86% support a ban in universities, 78% support a ban at the workplace, 77% support a ban in restaurants and 72% support a ban in bars. The majority of adults in Poland (70%) support the idea of pictorial warnings on tobacco packages. Enditem |
