Bulgaria: MIA Intercepts Attempts for Illegal Cigarette Shipments from Greece through the Green Border

Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs intercepted attempts for cigarette smuggling through the green border, Chief Commissary of the Interior Ministry Svetlozar Lazarov said in the town of Plovdiv, a reporter of  Radio FOCUS Plovdiv  announced.

After carried out checks at border checkpoints for control of persons, loads and motor vehicles, the authorities established that some persons make an attempt for illegal deliveries through the green border. Last week in the country was imported a huge shipment of cigarettes without excise labels through specially made transport corridors in the border forest. The delivery came from Greece. The smuggled cigarettes were destined for sale on the territory of Bulgaria. Enditem
