UK: Scotland Adds Missing Link to Display Ban

Scotland's display ban on tobacco products in large retail outlets came into effect today, supplying the missing link in a marketing prohibition that now applies everywhere in the United Kingdom, BBC reported.

The ban was instituted to help prevent young people from smoking, the BBC said in a report on its website citing Scottish Public Health Minister Michael Matheson. England, Wales and Northern Ireland previously instituted display bans. Enditem
