Norway: The Use of Snuff at School May be Banned

In a proposed change in the anti-smoking law, the Government wants a ban on both smoking and the use of snuff at all Norwegian secondary schools.

The number of young people smoking is declining, while the number of snuff users is on the increase.
 
The Department of Health has now proposed a ban on both smoking and snuff in Norwegian schools, in a revised version of the anti-smoking law.
 
Seven Norwegian counties have already introduced a total ban on all use of tobacco, and this ban may now become nation-wide, through the revised law. Enditem
