JT Launches A New Flavor Of Tobacco Sticks For Ploom S

Japan Tobacco Inc.(JT)(TSE:2914) announces that it will launch a new flavor of tobacco sticks for Ploom S, a Heated Tobacco product, "MEVIUS Menthol Purple for Ploom S", from August 5, 2019. The new flavor will be gradually rolled out nationwide, offering a total of four products of tobacco sticks for Ploom S.

"We are pleased to announce a new addition to the Ploom S tobacco sticks lineup. 'MEVIUS Menthol Purple for Ploom S' is a menthol product with a berry flavor, incorporating JT’s new unique Flavor Micro Chips (FMC) technology. The chips containing the flavor are blended in cut tobacco and they release an aroma on heating. It allows consumers to enjoy the fresh and fruity flavor of berries with a pleasant taste and aroma until the last puff," said Masanao Takahashi, Vice President of the Marketing Group Product & Brand Division.
