Philip Morris Korea Completes Production System For iQOS Products In Korea

Philip Morris Korea has completed a production system for all types of HEETS, a specially designed heated tobacco unit that is intended for exclusive use with the IQOS holder.

Philip Morris Korea announced on July 4 that it has built a production system for all 11 types of HEETS at its Yangsan factory in South Gyeongsang Province, Korea. The American tobacco giant invested about 300 billion won to build the production line for HEETS and hired more than 300 new employees.

The plant is capable of producing up to 12 billion units of HEETS a year.

"The completion of the volume production system for 11 types of HEETS is a declaration that Philip Morris Korea will change the paradigm of the industry," Jung Il-woo, president of Philip Morris Korea, said.  Enditem
