Over 7,000 of the tobacco company's nonexecutive employees will receive a one-time payout, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, amounting to $24 million. The company has also prepared to put $35 million aside for donations to various charity programs, especially those focused on work and youth development, over the next three years. Home Depot, Starbucks, Disney and JPMorgan Chase have also announced new raises and benefits for their employees due to the new legislation.
