US: Wegert Joins Republic Tobacco

Steve-Wegert-HR-smallIndustry veteran Steve Wegert has joined Republic Tobacco as key account manager.

Previously, Wegert was national chain account manager at cigar maker Commonwealth-Altadis. He was with the company for nearly 20 years.

Based in Glenview, Illinois, USA, Republic Tobacco is one of the United States'largest wholesale distributors of roll-your-own and make-your-own tobacco products and accessories, with brands such as Job, Top, Gambler, Drum, Largo and TubeCut.

Republic Tobacco is wholly owned by Republic Group, which includes the manufacturer affiliates of Top Tobacco, Republic Technologies (Job cigarette papers), Altesse (filter tubes), H.T.H. Tabak (cigarettes, snuff and tobacco) and Productos Technologicos Catalanes (smoking accessories), as well as Republic Tobacco, representing a combined sales and distribution presence in more than 90 countries.
