China: Provincial corporation delegation inspects Xinjiang Cigarette Factory

A delegation from China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., led by Communist Party leadership group secretary and General Manager Zhu Shaoming, inspected HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group's Xinjiang Cigarette Factory in northwest China's Xinjiang region on January 28, visiting production facilities and raising requirement for business development.

The delegation also included Deputy General Manager Xie Kunhuo of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd.

Accompanying the delegation on the inspection was HongyunHonghe CEO Wu Yi.

During the inspection, the delegation went deep into production workshops to conduct on-site verification, and visited the manufacturing-commercial allocation and logistics center.

Speaking at talks held later on, Zhu Shaoming said that during the inspection which actually meant his first visit to Xinjiang Cigarette Factory following completion of execution of the project of relocation and technological transformation of the cigarette factory, he felt very deeply touched and very much inspired, and that he was able to see that the relocated and technologically transformed Xinjiang Cigarette Factory is in embodiment of new strength and a new image.

In 2014, under the support and assistance of Xinjiang Regional Tobacco Monopoly Administration (Tobacco Company), under the direct leadership of HongyunHonghe, and with concerted efforts by its new leadership, Xinjiang Cigarette Factory fulfilled the production targets for the year, and made four major achievements:

Firstly, Xinjiang Cigarette Factory fulfilled the task of relocation and technological transformation after overcoming various difficulties, and has resumed formal production.

Secondly, the cigarette factory smoothly completed the process of leadership change.

Thirdly, the cigarette factory fulfilled the working targets of production for the year on a full scale, handing in a satisfactory answer sheet.

And fourthly, in accordance with the arrangement and planning of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. and HongyunHonghe, the cigarette factory, in the particular period of relocation and technological transformation, fulfilled on a full scale the task of conducting activities of education on and practice in the mass line of the Communist Party of China.

Meanwhile, Zhu Shaoming put forward a six-point requirement on Xinjiang Cigarette Factory:

Firstly, the cigarette factory needs to earnestly study and implement the spirits of the relevant working meetings of China Tobacco Yunnan Industry Co., Ltd. and HongyunHonghe, and, in light of its realities, well make planning in advance and make planning in a more in-depth, specific and practical manner.

Secondly, the cigarette factory needs to well handle three relationships -- the relationship between the targets of the enterprise and the targets of the local region, the relationship between the enterprise and Xinjiang Regional Tobacco Monopoly Administration (Tobacco Company), and the relationship between short-term interests and long-term interests.

Thirdly, the cigarette factory needs to pay heightened attention to the work of security control and maintenance of stability, without relaxing vigilance at any time.

Fourthly, the cigarette factory needs to practically well manage and fulfill the followup jobs after completion of execution of the project of relocation and technological transformation.

Fifthly, the cigarette factory needs to well handle the work of strict, lean and practical management, strive to generate higher efficiency through improvement of management, strengthen performance assessment in terms of cost control, reduction of consumption and investment, make management specific, and make successes in making first-rate achievements and in benchmarking.

And sixthly, the cigarette factory needs to pay heightened attention to the work of marketing in the local region.

Also speaking at the meeting, Wu Yi put forward a five-point requirement for the work of Xinjiang Cigarette Factory in 2015:

Firstly, the cigarette factory needs to plunge itself into the process of reform of the tobacco industry, and make concerted efforts in a same direction with one heart.

Secondly, the cigarette factory needs to consolidate its basis for management and strengthen its soft capacity, in keeping with benchmarking, making first-rate achievements and realizing lean management.

Thirdly, the cigarette factory needs to well handle the development of its leadership, well develop its human resources, and well adjust its workforce to a desirable status.

Fourthly, the cigarette factory needs to pay importance to markets and do a good job of marketing.

And fifthly, the cigarette factory needs to well handle the followup work in the wake of relocation and technological transformation, in order that the followup work will meet the criteria for acceptance appraisal, and that every aspect of the work hereof will be up-to-standard in acceptance appraisal.

At the meeting, Director Cheng Zhenxi of Xinjiang Cigarette Factory pledged that, in accordance with the aforesaid requirements raised by the leaders, the cigarette factory will carefully adopt measures for implementation on the basis of research, and will attach equal importance to the Communist Party work and enterprise management, in striving to promote the various work of it to a higher level.
