Egypt: Eastern to Build Cigarette Factory in Malawi

Eastern Tobacco plans to invest USD 40 million (EUR 33 million) in a cigarette factory to be constructed Malawi, according to the Egypt Independent.

Eastern would become majority owner with a 51 per cent stake, said the English language online subsidiary of the Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper. Eastern Tobacco's plans were made public in an Egyptian stock exchange statement, the Independent said. Enditem
