<strong>China: Provincial Corporation Delegation Inspects Qujing Cigarette Factory</strong>

A delegation from China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., led by Board of Directors Chairman Ye Libin, inspected Qujing Cigarette Factory of HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group on October 15, visiting production facilities, hearing reports on operation, and giving instructions on informatization and management improvement.

The delegation also included China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. Board of Directors Deputy Chairman Jiang Kai, who is also director of the Boards of Directors Affairs Office of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, and China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. Deputy Inspector and Board of Directors Secretary Zhao Zimin.

Accompanied by HongyunHonghe CEO and Communist Party Committee Secretary Wu Yi, et al, the delegation respectively went deep into the new joint leaf tobacco cutting workshop and the new cigarette rolling and packing line to conduct on-site inspection, to learn about the situation of work in various aspects on the spot.

After conducting the on-site inspection and hearing reports on operation, Ye Libin introduced the brands development target of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. and the situation it currently faces in development.

Ye Libin expressed the hope that under the new situation of reform and development, HongyunHonghe including Qujing Cigarette Factory will face up to all challenges, realize the corporate spirit of "forming resultant forces to realize prosperity and harmony into the future" pursued by China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., keep strengthening itself, make its brands outstanding, and make new and greater contribution to development of the tobacco industry.

Jiang Kai said that the plan of Qujing Cigarette Factory for local technological transformation is scientific and is rational in layout, and that the execution of the plan has powerfully guaranteed the quality of products, and created favorable conditions for the enterprise to seek progress and development amid stability and keep improving quality and raising efficiency, adding that the establishment and application of the 3D visualization technology and MES systems signifies that Qujing Cigarette Factory has taken a firm step toward scientific and modern management.

He pointed out that development of informatization is a complicated, giant and systematic project, expressing the hope that Qujing Cigarette Factory will adhere to the policy of proceeding from innovativeness and economic efficiency, and keep improving its systemic construction, to bring into play the high performance and practicality of the systems in the maximum, and to provide powerful support for upgrading management of the enterprise.

Speaking on the same occasion, Wu Yi reported to the delegation the situation of the work of HongyunHonghe in all aspects including production, operation, brands development and human resources development, saying that under the leadership of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration and China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., HongyunHonghe will dedicate itself to actively do a good job in all aspects, with lean management as a basis, in order to make due contribution to smoothly promoting reform leading to "two unifications and two integrations" launched by China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., and make new merits for brands development and efficiency promotion on the part of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd.

"Two unifications" refer to unification of management by China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. over the businesses of marketing on the part of its affiliated Hongta Group and HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group and unification of new products research and development by the two groups. Meanwhile, "two integrations" refer to integration of the existing cigarette brands and integration of the existing enterprises engaged in business diversification under Hongta Group and HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group. The "two unifications and two integrations" both are intended to further optimize the distribution of resources in the interest of realizing sustainable, healthy and steady development of the tobacco manufacturing enterprises in Yunnan.
