<strong>China: HongyunHonghe Ranks 2nd among Top 100 Enterprises in Yunnan</strong>

HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province -- the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer -- was ranked the second on the annual list of the Top 100 enterprises in Yunnan Province for the year 2014, for its annual sales income of 84.368 billion yuan (13.7 billion U.S. dollars) in 2013.

The annual list of the Top 100 enterprises in Yunnan Province for the year 2014 was jointly released by Yunnan Provincial Confederation of Enterprises and Yunnan Provincial Entrepreneurs Association on August 29.

Official statistics show that on the 2014 list of the Top 100, the biggest earners of operating income were the tobacco industry and its support industries, with their annual profits amounting to 18.63503 billion yuan (3.025 billion U.S. dollars), an increase of 32.72 percent over the level of 14.04127 billion yuan (2.28 billion U.S. dollars) reflected by the 2013 list. So far, the tobacco industry and its support industries have been the sole industries with the total amount of annual profits topping the level of 10 billion yuan (1.62 billion U.S. dollars), in realizing growth in both profits and the profit rates for consecutive years.
