<strong>China: HongyunHonghe''s ERP System Development Project Passes Acceptance Appraisal</strong>

The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system development project of HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province passed a stringent appraisal for technical acceptance conducted by a panel of experts organized by the Development and Planning Department of State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) on July 24.

In conducting the appraisal, the panel of experts heard reports on the work and technological summaries of the project, performed on-site test of the system in accordance with the general program for test, reviewed the files and data submitted by the taskforce designated to execute the project, and unanimously agreed to have the project pass the acceptance appraisal on the basis of discussion and deliberation.

At a ceremony to mark the passing of the acceptance appraisal, HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Gu Hong, on behalf of the tobacco group, expressed gratitude to the STMA and the panel of experts for their great support for the work of informatization of HongyunHonghe and for their careful guidance over the work of HongyunHonghe.

Gu Hong said that promotion of in-depth integration between informatization and tobacco production is a major strategic approach adopted by the tobacco industry and is a major approach of HongyunHonghe to enhance its core competitiveness and build itself into a modern enterprise, and that the passing of the acceptance appraisal by the ERP system development project is a new start point for HongyunHonghe to step up the development of informatization and promote its management to higher levels, which will contribute to laying a solid foundation for more rapidly and better meeting the requirement of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. for realizing "two unifications and two integrations."

Presiding over the ceremony, STMA Deputy Inspector Liu Rong affirmed the work of the ERP system development by HongyunHonghe, and expressed the belief that the ERP system development project of HongyunHonghe has contributed to further promoting the work of informatization of HongyunHonghe to higher levels and promoting the comprehensive management of HongyunHonghe to higher levels, saying that the process of the acceptance appraisal had been standard and that the advanced finished product software of HongyunHonghe has provided valuable experience for other enterprises.
