<strong>China: Yunnan Held a Meeting on 2014 Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction</strong>

Recently, China Tobacco Yunnan industrial corp. held a meeting on 2014 energy conservation and emissions reduction work. Leaders of China Tobacco Yunnan industrial corp. attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

In 2013, the total quantity of energy consumption, and chemical oxygen demand (COD) and emission of sulfur dioxide emission by China Tobacco Yunnan industrial corp. for manufacturing each case cigarette went down by 5.13 percent, 16.52 percent and 12.4 percent year-on-year respectively.

In speeches, leaders of China Tobacco Yunnan industrial corp. pointed out that the work of promoting energy conservation and emissions reduction, it not only can save resources and protect the environment, and achieve the inevitable requirement of sustainable development, but also the needs of the tobacco enterprise's own survival and development.

In the meeting, Kunming Cigarette Factory exchanges experience of energy cost control, Dali Cigarette Factory introduced new energy utilization. The meeting also awarded the advanced individual on energy conservation and emissions reduction work in 2013. Enditem
