<strong>China: HongyunHonghe Holds Symposium on Quality Control</strong> Source from: HongyunHonghe Group 04/21/2014 ![]() HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer – held on April 10 an exclusive symposium on quality control in cigarette production, summing up the work of quality control in 2013, and making arrangements for quality control in 2014. At the meeting, the production and manufacturing center of HongyunHonghe delivered a summary of the work of quality control in 2013 and made a plan for quality control in 2014. The summary points out that over recent years, all the factories of HongyunHonghe have worked out internal quality control standards that are more stringent than the corresponding national standards, while the quality of products of HongyunHonghe has generally been in an upward trend. In 2013, the quality of products of HongyunHonghe was found to be up to standards by 100 percent in commodity inspection for export, industrial inspection and sample inspection, and there was no major quality-related accident, the summary notes. In the year, HongyunHonghe had nine products ranked among the Top Ten of China's tobacco industry in terms of comprehensive quality. In particular, Dachongjiu has been ranked the first of the tobacco industry for two consecutive years in terms of comprehensive and sensory quality, according to the summary. At the meeting, HongyunHonghe Deputy CEO delivered an exclusive speech titled Making Perfection More Perfect and Remaining Persistent in Doing A Good Job of Quality Control, requiring clearly understanding the current situation, unifying ideology, earnestly considering priorities in the work of quality control in a next period of time and further doing a good job of quality control of HongyunHonghe, closely in accordance with the relevant targets and tasks. HongyunHonghe CEO Wu Yi delivered a concluding speech, raising a five-point requirement for the work of quality control over a next period of time – firstly, to clearly understand the current situation and to strengthen responsibility and awareness about crises; secondly, to have high standards and strict requirements, to assure the production of high-quality products; thirdly, to sum up successful experience and to innovate and improve quality control; fourthly, to attach greater importance to the intrinsic quality of products and quality safety; and, fifthly, to have close cooperation and to strengthen technological quality control.
