<strong>China: Hong''An Cigarette Factory Gets Good Report Card for 2013</strong>

Hong'an Cigarette Factory of China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. in central China's Hubei Province got a good report card on its production, operation and marketing for the year 2013, with the generation of taxes and profits going up significantly year on year.

In 2013, Hong'an Cigarette Factory produced 7.675 billion cigarettes (153,500 cases) and generated 1.141 billion yuan (187 million U.S. dollars) in gross industrial output value including taxes. In the year, Hong'an Cigarette Factory sold 15.16 billion cigarettes (303,200 cases) to the market areas under its jurisdiction, and paid 765.8 million yuan (126 million U.S. dollars) in taxes to the local government by means of payment transfer, up 20.72 percent year on year.

It was reported on February 19 that in 2014, Hong'an Cigarette Factory will exert all efforts to fulfill the annual quotas for selling cigarettes of the competitive Yellow Crane Tower brand in the market areas under its jurisdiction, and will strive to meet the production quotas by 100 percent and fulfill the targets for safe production in the year.
