<strong>China: Cigarette Harm Reduction Technology Project Research Kicks off in Henan</strong>

On November 20th, the kick-off meeting of STMA cigarette harm reduction technology major project "the formula technology research and application on selectively reduce the content of hydrogen cyanide and ammonia" was held in technology center of China Tobacco Henan Industrial Corp..

The meeting pointed out that the project is listed as one of STMA cigarette harm reduction technology major projects in 2013, developing this project will promote the "golden leaf" brand to a higher level. The meeting stressed that the project team will work together to complete the project research, and to realize the target of reducing harm of cigarette products, to further promote the development of "Golden Leaf" brand less harmful cigarette.

The meeting mainly studied the overall implementation of the project, and cleared about main economic and technical indicators of the project, and focused on "leaf tobacco raw materials, leaf tobacco mixture, extraction technology, second materials design, impaction on cigarette style characteristics, technology application" and so on six main research contents.
