<strong>China: Baoding Cigarette Factory Kicks off Relocation, Transformation Project</strong>

A grand foundation-laying ceremony was held in Hebei Great Wall Industry Park in Nanshi of Baoding Ctiy, Hebei Province on Nov. 22, to kick off the costly project of relocation and technological transformation of Baoding Cigarette Factory intended to significantly enlarge the cigarette factory's annual production capacity.

The project of relocation and technological transformation of Baoding Cigarette Factory was registered and approved by the STMA, with a total investment of 2.05 billion yuan.

When the project of relocation and technological transformation is completed, Baoding Cigarette Factory will see its annual cigarette production capacity reach 20 billion units cigarettes （0.4 million cases）, and the annual income reach 4.48 billion yuan, and the amount of its annual taxes reach 2.51 billion yuan. The project construction cycle will last 2-3 years, and the first-stage project has been kicked off in 2013 to build joint workshop, power center, production management and logistics management buildings facilities.
