<strong>China: Schweitzer-Mauduit Delegation Visits HongyunHonghe</strong>

A delegation from Schweitzer-Mauduit International Inc., led by Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Frederic Villoutreix, visited HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on October 30, for in-depth exchange of opinions of HongyunHonghe leaders on bilateral business cooperation.

HongyunHonghe leaders including Yao Qingyan and Feng Bin, Board of Directors Secretary Luo Jianhua, and leaders of the technology center and logistics center of HongyunHonghe held talks with the delegation.

At the talks, HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Yao Qingyan extended warm to the delegation, and expressed the hope that the two sides will promote joint development through more in-depth and closer technological exchange and cooperation.

HongyunHonghe CEO Wu Yi briefly introduced the situation of economic operation and brands development targets of HongyunHonghe, exchanged views and held discussions with Frederic Villoutreix on relevant technologies for applying tobacco sheets in cigarette production, and expressed the hope to strengthen bilateral technological cooperation, to enable the application of tobacco sheets to make the cigarette brands of HongyunHonghe more characteristics, and to produce more cigarette products satisfying the demand of consumers and embodying the smoking styles of the brands of HongyunHonghe.

Speaking on the same occasion, Frederic Villoutreix said that for many years, Schweitzer-Mauduit and HongyunHonghe have been maintaining favorable relations of cooperation, and that Schweitzer-Mauduit will cooperate with HongyunHonghe in meeting the demand for research and development, and will strive to do a good job of executing bilateral cooperation projects. He expressed the belief that the two sides will have broader prospects for cooperation.

Before the talks, the delegation also visited Kunming Cigarette Factory of HongyunHonghe, examining the production processes of leaf tobacco cutting, cigarette rolling and packing, physical distribution, and learn of the situation of operation of production equipment, technological processes, production capacity and scale, etc of the cigarette factory.
