China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co. Presents New Cigar Product

China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. in central China's Hubei Province – one of the four existing cigar manufacturers in China – has presented to the market a new Chinese-style cigar product named Xueyaxiang (Elegant Aroma of Cigars), which has been honored as a new generation and a new category of cigars with unique characteristics.

On April 20, 2013, Li Hongzhong, secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Hubei Provincial Committee, Wang Guosheng, the provincial governor of Hubei, Zhang Chang'er, deputy secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Hubei Provincial Committee, and other local Communist Party and government officials met in Hubei's provincial capital city of Wuhan with a delegation from the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA), led by STMA Director-General Jiang Chengkang.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views in a heated and in-depth way on the development of the tobacco industry of Hubei, particularly the development and innovation of the Yellow Crane Tower cigarette brand of China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. It was at this meeting that China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. unveiled its ambitious plan to develop and present to the market Xueyaxiang. Therefore, the meeting signified a joint witnessing of the birth of Xueyaxiang as a new member of the time-honored Yellow Crane Tower brand family. This was actually the first time for the tobacco industry to specifically unveil the target of developing a new generation and a new category of cigars with unique characteristics and with the relevant intellectual property rights exclusively owned by China.

Speaking at a symposium on reporting the operation of China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. under exclusive subjects held on the following day, Jiang once again emphasized that the development of Xueyaxiang by China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. was in conformity with the new orientation of development of cigar production in China.

Jiang expressed the hope that China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd. will, by taking advantage of the opportunity brought about by the birth of the new product, manage to expand room for its business development, promote the development of varieties of products, and strive to maintain the development momentum and vitality of the Yellow Crane Tower brand family.
