<strong>China: HongyunHonghe Holds Meeting on Quality Control Exchange</strong>

HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer – recently held a meeting on quality control exchange for the first half of 2013, hearing opinions on exchange of quality control experience and discussing improvement in future quality control.

Managers from the production and manufacturing center and all production factories of HongyunHonghe made a full use of the meeting as a platform to conduct exchanges and discussions in an in-depth and extensive way on how to improve the quality of products.

During the meeting held in Qujing Cigarette Factory, the participants heard speeches delivered by representatives from Qujing Cigarette Factory and Kunming Cigarette Factory on exchanging experience in product quality control, and respectively visited the leaf tobacco cutting and cigarette rolling and packing workshops, raw materials and formulas storages and other production facilities to comprehensively learn about the technologies, equipment, quality control, etc at the cigarette factory.

Besides, the participants also formed quite a few groups to conduct one-on-one exchange of experience in the division of job posts, discuss solutions of specific problems in quality control, and learn from one another and draw on the successful experience of one another in terms of guidelines, methods and experience in the work of product quality control.

In accordance with routine maintenance of equipment, control over production processes, regulation over operation by workers, on-site management, quality control performance grading and other specific work concerned, the participants, in light of the realities of their respective production factories, frankly held discussions on their personal feelings about and experience in the work of product quality control, and, at the same time, put forward their valuable opinions and suggestions for further promoting the work of product quality control at Qujing Cigarette Factory to higher levels.
