<strong>China Tobacco Hunan Industrial Co. Extends Donation to Students</strong>

China Tobacco Hunan Industrial Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province has extended a donation of 13 million yuan (2.1 million U.S. dollars) to aid students from poverty-stricken families, in implementation of the 16th Furong Scholars large-scale public interest program that was started on June 14.

In 2013, 500 new university students from poverty-stricken families will receive aid under the 16th Furong Scholars in 2013. Over the past 16 years since the launch of the program, China Tobacco Hunan Industrial Co., Ltd. has donated a total of 115.94 million yuan (18.7 million U.S. dollars) to aid more than 20,000 university students and scholar teams in 28 Chinese provinces and provincial-level regions.
