At the same time, young volunteers from Shanxi Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. of HongyunHonghe committed themselves to regularly providing service for the school's students from poverty-striven families of migrant workers in a one-on-one aid project, and established a system of long-term assistance and support to the school by volunteers on a rotational basis. The large-scale public interest program of Hongyun Library has been run for the past six consecutive years, and has entered its seventh year. By the end of 2012, 600 primary and high schools in poverty-stricken rural areas in 29 Chinese provinces and provincial-level regions had each established a Hongyun Library. So far, HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group – the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer based in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – has donated 230,000 books valued at more than 6 million yuan (967,000 U.S. dollars) to the Hongyun Library program.
