UK: North West MEPs to Visit Blackburn E-cig Firm

NORTH West MEPs Chris Davies and Jacqueline Foster will visit e-cigarette firm Totally Wicked in the wake of announced plans to class the products as 'medicines'.
 
A spokesman for Totally Wicked said the firm was concerned from the announcement by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

He said: "We believe this will not only have a negative impact on our business and the people we employ in the North West, but also on our customers and e-cigarette users in general, many of whom have only been able to quit or reduce smoking tobacco cigarettes thanks to e-cigarettes."

Bosses at Totally Wicked have sent all 754 MEPs an electronic cigarette, along with a briefing paper to explain why the changes would be wrong.

Mr Davies will visit the firm on June 21 and Ms Foster will follow in July. En ditem
