UK: 40 Contract Jobs at Gallahers Cigarette Factory, Ballymena, Relocated

Forty contract jobs at a County Antrim cigarette factory are being relocated to Poland and Romania.

About 1,000 people are employed at the Gallahers cigarette factory at Lisnafillan in Ballymena.

The company which runs the plant, JTI, said the relocation would result in the closure of three production lines at Lisnafillan.

In a statement, JTI said: "We expect to be able to redeploy all affected full time employees within the site." Enditem
