<strong>China: Deputy Mayor of Kunming City Inspects HongyunHonghe</strong>

Deputy Mayor Wang Chunyan of Kunming City – the capital city of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – inspected HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in the province on May 8, visiting production facilities and promising continued support by the local government for the business development of HongyunHonghe.

Accompanying the deputy mayor on the inspection were HongyunHonghe leaders Yao Qingyan, He Guogang and Huang Muzhong, Director Fan Xiao of Kunming Cigarette Factory, and the relevant leaders of the Production and Manufacturing Center, the Communist Party and Administrative Affairs Office, the Economic Operation Department and the Capital Construction and Technical Transformation Department of HongyunHonghe.

During the inspection, Wang Chunyan visited production workshops at Kunming Cigarette Factory and held brief talks with workers of the factory.

In the process of visit, HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Yao Qingyan briefed Wang Chunyan on the modern joint workshops, internationally advanced high-speed tobacco machinery and equipment and the world's first-rate production lines at Kunming Cigarette Factory.

At talks held during the inspection, Yao reported to the deputy mayor the situation of production, operation and economic efficiency of HongyunHonghe, and introduced the situation of development of the competitive Yunyan cigarette brand of HongyunHonghe, and also the tobacco group's annual business development targets and the business development targets in the 2011-2015 five-year period.

Speaking on the same occasion, Wang Chunyan said that after watching the feature film Magnificent Yunyan and hearing reports on the relevant affairs, he felt inspired and was proud of HongyunHonghe's prospects for future business development and for the development of the Yunyan cigarette brand.

He expressed thanks to HongyunHonghe for making great contributions to the local economic development of Kunming City, and expressed the hope that HongyunHonghe will have more rapid and better business development in future.

The deputy mayor promised that the municipal government of Kunming City will exert all efforts to extend support and cooperation to HongyunHonghe in its business development. Enditem
