<strong>China: HongyunHonghe Holds Symposium on Development Situation of Tobacco Industry</strong>

HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer – held on April 8 a symposium on the situation of development of the tobacco industry, in efforts to further enhance the awareness of employees about the situation of development of the tobacco industry and enhance their understanding about the competitiveness and development of HongyunHonghe.

A famous Chinese management consultation expert – Professor Li Ke – was invited to the meeting to give a speech entitled The Situation of Development of the Tobacco Industry.

At the symposium, Professor Li Ke, in keeping with the theme of the situation of development of the tobacco industry and by proceeding from the position of strategic development of the tobacco industry, interpreted the situation faced by the tobacco industry against the present economic background and under the present political environment, and analyzed in an in-depth way the development orientation and corresponding approaches adoptable, in terms of the "the situation of China's tobacco industry in 2013," "the models of future competition of the tobacco industry," "the models of marketing innovation," "the methodology of package designing", "readjustment of the mindset", etc.

Meanwhile, the professor, in light of the status quo of development of key competitive cigarette brands of the tobacco industry, comparatively analyzed the status quo and development prospects of the Yunyan cigarette brand family of HongyunHonghe.

Also speaking at the symposium, HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Yao Qingyan delivered a summary speech, reporting the situation of economic operation of HongyunHonghe in the first quarter of 2013, reviewed and analyzed the trend of development of key competitive cigarette brands of China's tobacco industry, and analyzed the status quo of both Yunyan and its rivals in competition with detailed data.

In the speech, Yao once again emphasized matters in terms of the relationship between targets and confidence, between quality and quality control, the between the formulation of effective measures and the strengthening of implementation.
