Tanzania: Tobacco Firm Endorses Donation Worth Sh30m

Morogoro. Alliance One Tobacco Tanzania Limited (AOTTL) will next month donate building materials and 497 desks worth Sh28.055 million to schools in Tabora, Kigoma, Mara, Shinyanga and Ruvuma regions. The donation comes following requests that the company received from some of the communities that grow tobacco in the country.

The schools expecting to benefit include Kalunde Primary School (110 desks), Imalauduki Primary School (70 desks), St Francis School (20 bags of fertiliser) in Tabora Region; Mulungu Primary School in Kahama District (50 corrugated iron sheets and 125 pieces of timber), Basanza Secondary School in Kigoma Region (50 corrugated iron sheets and 120 pieces of timber), Lugongoni Primary School in Kigoma Region (70 desks), Mkongo Gulioni, Mlindimila and Litete primary schools in Ruvuma Region (30 desks each) and Geitasamo Primary School in Mara Region (157 desks).
