China: Hongta Holds Meeting on Quality Appraisal of Cigarettes Made in Joint Ventures

Hongta Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – a leading Chinese tobacco manufacturer – held the 2012 meeting on appraisal of the quality of cigarettes of Hongta’s brand produced in joint-venture operations between Hongta Group and other enterprises in partnership with it, with the participation of leaders and experts from all the parties concerned. Organized by the Production and Manufacturing Center of Hongta Group and hosted by Zhaotong Cigarette Factory of Hongta Group, the meeting was held at Zhaotong Cigarette Factory, and was attended by more than 30 leaders and experts from China Tobacco Shandong Industrial Co., Ltd., Jinan Cigarette Factory, Tengzhou Cigarette Factory, China Tobacco Jiangxi Industrial Co., Ltd., Nanchang Cigarette Factory and Yan’an Cigarette Factory. The meeting was intended to further promote smooth operation of joint-venture cigarette production, establish platforms for bilateral communication and exchange in joint-venture cigarette production, and ensure stability of the quality and consistency of styles of cigarettes produced in joint-venture operations. At a welcome ceremony prior to the meeting, Zhaotong Cigarette Factory Director Hu Faming delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the factory. At the meeting, the leaders and experts test-smoked and appraised sample cigarettes produced in joint-venture operations using Hongta's brands, and representatives from manufacturing enterprises in other Chinese regions in partnership with Hongta Group held discussions on sustained improvement of the quality of cigarettes produced in joint-venture operations. The holding of the meeting contributed to promoting even more in-depth communication and exchange between Hongta Group and other enterprises in partnership with it, making bilateral relationships closer, exchanging experience in practical work, and promoting in-depth development of the work of joint-venture production of cigarette products using Hongta's brands.
