RAI Names New General Auditor

Lynne Peck has been named vice president and general auditor of Reynolds American Inc, effective August 1. She was previously the company’s senior director of internal audit. Peck will replace Susan Wilson, RAI’s current senior vice president of risk and compliance services, and the company’s general auditor. Wilson plans to retire by the end of this year after 24 years with the company. In her new role, Peck will report directly to the audit and finance committee of the RAI board of directors. Peck joined R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, RAI’s largest subsidiary, in 1991, and has held a number of positions within that company’s finance, internal audit and information management departments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University. "Susie Wilson’s oversight of our risk management programs has been outstanding, and we wish her the best as she transitions into retirement," said Thomas R. Adams, executive vice president and chief financial officer of RAI. "Based on Lynne’s long list of accomplishments within the company and her broad experience, we are confident that she will carry on that tradition of excellence in this key executive role for the company."
