Dhaka Tobacco Starts DIET Plant in Bangladesh Source from: Tobacco Reporter 07/27/2012 ![]() Dhaka Tobacco Industries (DTI), of Bangladesh, has begun production on its new Dry Ice Expanded Tobacco (DIET) line. The 300 kg-per-hour plant is the first of its size and was handed over by Airco DIET on July 24.
The DIET plant is installed in DTI’s Dhaka factory. While some of the expanded tobacco will be used in DTI blends, the company’s main objective is to market the product to other manufacturers.
