China: New Chuxiong Cigarette Factory Goes into Operation

The new Chuxiong Cigarette Factory of Hongta Group in southwest Chinas’ tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – a leading Chinese tobacco manufacturer – held on July 9 a ceremony in a highly celebrative atmosphere at its new site to start operation of the factory upon completion of a project of relocation and technological transformation, signifying full-scale completion of the project of relocation and technological transformation.

At 9:00 a.m. local time, the start ceremony officially began. Along with smooth operation of the production lines, a first case of Yuxi brand cigarettes representing high-grade cigarette products of Chuxiong Cigarette Factory smoothly rolled down the production line, meaning that the production equipment at the new site of the factory was in smooth operation, that the quality of its cigarette products met the relevant technological and technical requirements, and that the new cigarette factory officially entered formal production following the relocation and technological transformation.

So far, the leaf tobacco cutting and cigarette making lines at the new site of the factory have all been put into normal operation smoothly, while the administrative system, the logistics guarantee system and the physical distribution system have also entered the status of normal operation. Presently, technicians with the cigarette factory are busy with the work of installation and debugging at the leaf tobacco redrying workshop, in striving to put the redrying line into normal operation before the start of the busy leaf tobacco curing season in the year.
