British American Tobacco Launches Vogue Perle Capsule

British American Tobacco (UK) is driving innovation in the cigarette category with the launch of Vogue Perle Capsule – the world’s first demi-slim capsule cigarette to hit the UK market. The launch is set to cement BAT’s reputation as the UK’s most innovative tobacco manufacturer, following the 2011 launch of Vogue Perle, the UK’s first demi-slim cigarette. Capsule technology enables adult smokers to change the taste of their cigarette by simply squeezing a small capsule inside the filter, releasing a fresh taste when the cigarette is smoked. It’s an optional enhancement to the smoking experience and can be activated at any time during the smoke – or not at all, according to the taste of the individual adult smoker. Priced at £6.72 – as per BAT’s March Price List – Vogue Perle Capsule will help retailers maximise profit potential in the Premium segment. Capsule cigarettes have already generated 20mn sticks of volume sales in the UK to date this year*, and the category continues to grow. Vogue Perle Capsule will contain the same smooth 7mg blend as Vogue Perle, and will replace Vogue Perle Bronze in distribution from July. It will be available in a 20s pack and supported through key trade activities, including promotional deals through selected distributors. Enditem
