China: Hongta Employees Honored As Outstanding Scientific-technological Workers

Two prominent employees with Hongta Group in southwest China’s tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – Qi Yaodong from Yuxi Cigarette Factory and Xiang Nengjun from the Technology Center – were both honored as outstanding scientific-technological workers at the 2012 working meeting and the 5th session of the 6th executive council of Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Society held in Lijiang City recently. The title of outstanding scientific-technological workers is an honor awarded to scientific-technological human resources for their remarkable achievements and outstanding contribution in the work of scientific-technological research, technological development, and scientific-technological innovation, generalization and popularization. The title of honor is awarded through competitive selection once in every two years, with the number of winners each time not exceeding a total of 10. Also attending the meeting were the members of the leadership of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., chief leaders of the tobacco manufacturing groups in Yunnan and their subordinate cigarette factories, leaders of the institutions directly affiliated to China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. and all the officials and workers with the organs of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd.
