China: Hongta Group Holds Meeting on Cigarette Products Assessment

Hongta Group in southwest China’s tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – a leading Chinese tobacco manufacturer – held a meeting on the assessment of its cigarette products for the first half of 2012 at its subordinate Zhaotong Cigarette Factory on June 27-29, with the participation of more than 50 leaders and experts with the relevant central departments and the four cigarette factories Hongta as well as Hongta Liaoning Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Hainan Hongta Cigarette Co., Ltd. Director Hu Faming of Zhaotong Cigarette Factory delivered a welcome speech at the meeting on behalf of the factory. At the meeting, the leaders and experts appraised sample cigarettes produced by the four cigarette factories of Hongta within Yunnan Province and also by processing operations in other provinces. The meeting reported the results of quality control in cigarette production by Hongta Group in the first half of 2012. The participants in the meeting conducted in-depth discussions about continued improvement of cigarette products quality control by Hongta Group. The meeting summed up the work of quality control in cigarette production by Hongta Group in the first half of 2012 on a full scale, and made specific arrangement and planning for promoting quality control in cigarette production by the tobacco group in the second half of the year to higher levels.
