Cigar Factory Hosts Imperial Board Meeting

Imperial Tobacco has held a board meeting at its Cantabria factory in Spain to emphasise the importance of its cigar business unit. After the meeting, board members took a tour of the factory and met production staff at the company's centre of excellence for mass market cigar-making. An investment of £9.5 million has seen the factory expand, taking on work from Bristol and Strasbourg and doubling its annual production to almost 900 million cigars in just three years. "It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have the opportunity to host the board of Imperial Tobacco and show them our enhanced facilities," said factory manager, José Ramón Suárez. "We have a factory in Cantabria that we can be very proud of thanks to the efforts of all those working here and the investment made in the site." Enditem
