Provincial Tobacco Industry Meets on Achievements in Quality Control

The tobacco industry of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province held on May 30 the 9th meeting to unveil outstanding achievements in quality control (QC) made by its QC groups, with the participation of 37 outstanding QC achievements of eight cigarette making enterprises and two other relevant enterprises of the provincial tobacco industry. At the meeting, the QC achievements of "lowering the frequency of failures of the GD2000 Servo System" and "development of the device for readjusting the position of tobacco bundles after unstacking" made by the QC group of Kunming Cigarette Factory, and the QC achievement of "development of the laser positioning control system of shuttles" made by the QC group of Honghe Cigarette Factory each won a Grade One prize. Of the QC achievements unveiled at the meeting, QC innovations accounted for 51 percent, indicating that all production enterprises of the provincial tobacco industry have kept enhancing their awareness about independent innovation and have kept significantly enhancing their innovation capacities.
