HongyunHonghe Meets on Quality Control for First Half of 2012

HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer – held on May 21-23 an exchange meeting on quality control in its cigarette production for the first half of 2012, in efforts to promote cigarette production to higher levels. At the exchange meeting held at Qujing Cigarette Factory of HongyunHonghe, the tobacco group organized appraisal through comparison of appearance designs of cigarette packaging to determine guide samples, exchange in outstanding quality control achievements of HongyunHonghe, reporting of the work of quality control for the first half of 2012, analysis of problems existing in quality control, etc. In appraisal through comparison of appearance designs of cigarette packaging, a panel of judges from the headquarters and subordinate factories of HongyunHonghe carefully appraised the appearance designs of cigarette packaging submitted by the subordinate factories. As a result, the appearance design of the packaging of Honghe (Fortune) cigarettes of Honghe Cigarette Factory was determined as the guide sample for packets and cartons for cigarette making machines of the FOCKE350 model, Honghe (Soft 88) for packets and cartons for the B1 model, Yunyan (Purple) for cartons for the GDX2 model, Yunyan (Soft Treasure) of Qujing Cigarette Factory for packets for the GDX1 model, Yunyan (Red) for packets for the GDX2 model, and Honghe (Lesser Panda Century Style) for cartons for the GDX1 model. The guide samples of soft and hard packaging determined at the meeting were all respectively from Honghe Cigarette Factory, Qujing Cigarette Factory and Huize Cigarette Factory. At the exchange meeting, HongyunHonghe promulgated four outstanding quality control achievements – the achievement of "raising accuracy in adding fragrances and essences after mixture of cut tobacco" submitted by Kunming Cigarette Factory, the achievement of "lowering the rate of leakage in tobacco stem grinding at grinding machines" submitted by Honghe Cigarette Factory, the achievement of "enhancing the filter rods processing control capacity" submitted by Qujing Cigarette Factory, and the achievement of "lowering the trademark consumption of soft packaging".
