Shanghai Tobacco Group Delegation Visits Kunming Cigarette Factory

A nine-member delegation from Shanghai Tobacco Group, led by Deputy General Manager Zhou Yongsen, visited Kunming Cigarette Factory of HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on May 14, seeing production facilities and holding talks with leaders of Kunming Cigarette Factory. Accompanying the delegation on the visit were HongyunHonghe CEO Wu Yi, Kunming Cigarette Factory Director Fan Xiao and others. During the visit, the delegation, which also grouped members of the technology center of Shanghai Tobacco Group, was shown around the leaf tobacco cutting line at Kunming Cigarette Factory. At the cigarette-making line and logistics zone of Kunming Cigarette Factory, Wu Yi elaborately introduced to the delegation the equipment purchased by Kunming Cigarette Factory in the execution of its recently project of technological transformation and the way of operation of the factory's logistics system. In talks held at the end of the visit, Wu Yi, at the request of the delegation, elaborately made statement of the process of technological transformation of Kunming Cigarette Factory. Zhou Yongsen said that the current visit by the delegation was intended to conduct a preliminary survey in preparation for the execution of the project of technological transformation of the Pudong new area of Shanghai Cigarette Factory. During the visit, the delegation was able to learn a great deal in terms of the technologies of leaf tobacco cutting, logistics, cigarette making, etc and also much useful experience which can be referred to by Shanghai Tobacco Group in the execution of the project of technological transformation, according to Zhou Yongsen.
