Industry Affairs Committee Discusses Programs with Altria Source from: Awmanet.org 04/28/2012 ![]() Business reviews of Altria Group Distribution Company cigarette, cigar, and OTP businesses, a review of recent government action impacting both distributors and tobacco manufacturers, and a discussion of the future of the business were among the topics covered when representatives of AWMA's Industry Affairs Committee visited Altria headquarters in Richmond, VA on April 19.
AWMA was represented at the meeting by David Dresser of Core-Mark, Mark Davenport of J.T. Davenport, Corey Cooper of Stephenson Wholesale, and Jode Bunce of Eby-Brown.
Altria was represented at the meeting by Greg Augustine, director, sales and merchandising; Jody Begley, vice president, customer marketing services; Bob Sears, director trade and state relations, sales training and compliance; Gary Schmidt, director, sales logistics; and Michael Thome Begland, director of brand integrity and assistant general counsel, Altria Client Services.
