Imperial Managers Recognized With Awards

Two Imperial Tobacco managers have had their achievements recognised at separate award ceremonies. Vladimir Mikic, market manager Serbia, was named Manager of the Year 2011 at an event organised by the national magazine, The MEN. And Katarzyna Wolińska, manager of the company's Radom cigarette factory in Poland, was winner of a Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 award in a competition operated by the regional daily newspaper, Echo Dnia. The MEN's prestigious 'MEN of the year' award ceremony is hosted in Belgrade on an annual basis and attended by personalities from public and political life in Serbia. "We've become one of the companies now setting the standard for how to do business in Serbia, something that would not have been achievable without the dedication of my team," Mikic said. Several hundred women from across Radom and surrounding districts were nominated for a Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award, with votes cast by Echo Dnia readers. Wolińska won first prize for the Radom city area and was placed third overall in the competition's 'Golden Ten'. "The contribution of our people at the factory to my own and the company's success cannot be underestimated," said Wolińska, who was appointed factory manager and president of the board of Imperial Tobacco Polska Manufacturing last year.
