Chuangyu TIC., Tobacco Research Institute Sign Pact on Strategic Cooperation

China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd.(Chuanyu TIC.) - the operator of the tobacco industry in southwest China's Sichuan Province and neighboring Chongqing City - and Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute in central China's Henan Province recently signed an agreement on strategic cooperation and partnership, signifying the entry into a brand new phase of bilateral cooperation. Speaking at the signing ceremony, General Manager Wu Yinglu of China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd. said that full-scale efforts will be made to promote bilateral strategic cooperation to a higher level, with the focus on promoting development of the technology-intensive Pride cigarette brand family; and that priority will be given to the research of forward-looking, crucial and comprehensive subjects that are capable of casting great impacts on the development of the tobacco industry in Sichuan and Chongqing, in order that the work of research and development by China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd. will be promoted to a higher level with breakthrough made in key points and with comprehensive promotion of progress, and in order that the development of the Pride cigarette brand family will be given powerful technological and intelligent support. Speaking on the same occasion, President Yan Yaming of Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute said that efforts will be made to deepen bilateral strategic cooperation on a full scale, and that Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute will further provide pertinent service for China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd., in order that the two sides will be able to jointly turn the Pride cigarette brand family into a "vanguard of harm reduction" in the development of Chinese-style cigarettes, and jointly accelerate realization of development targets of Pride. It was reported that over recent years, China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute have maintained close cooperation between them, making a great deal of achievements in cooperation.
