Factory Goes 1,000 Days Without 'Lost Time Accident' Source from: Tobacco Reporter 04/05/2012 ![]() Imperial Tobacco has reported that its Tarnowo factory in Poland has gone 1,000 production days without any Lost Time Accidents.
'No incidents leading to the absence of an employee from work have occurred at the cigarette factory since 2009,' the company reported.
'The achievement follows the introduction of a number of health and safety initiatives which have raised awareness of potential risks and improved mutual concern for the safety of staff.'
"I am delighted that our Tarnowo employees have continued their success by achieving this very significant milestone," said Sławomir Sołkiewicz, operations director Central Europe and USA.
"The initiatives around the factory received a lot of positive engagement from our employees and that has definitely driven their impressive performance in this area." Enditem
