Six Nations Company Reaches Deal With China Tobacco

Grand River Enterprises (GRE) Six Nations Ltd., the fourth-largest tobacco products company in the world, has reached a multimillion-dollar agreement with China Tobacco International Inc. A GRE press release says this agreement was negotiated prior to Prime Minister Stephen Harper's visit to China, and represents one of the few Canadian-Chinese agreements currently in place. GRE bought the former Simcoe Leaf processing facility last July, saving the local plant from closure. A signing ceremony is being held Wednesday afternoon at The Greens at Renton at 4 p.m. Enditem
