China: Imperial Tobacco Delegation Visits Hongta Group

A delegation from Imperial Tobacco Group, led by Asia-Pacific Regional Managing Director Andrew Lochrie and Asia-Pacific Regional Managing Director in waiting Roberto Ascoli, visited Hongta Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on March 7, holding friendly talks with Hongta Group leaders on bilateral business cooperation. Meeting the Imperial Tobacco delegation at the talks were Hongta Group leaders including Board of Directors Chairman Liu Wandong, Communist Party Committee Secretary and CEO Li Suiming and Deputy CEO Zhang Jianhua.

During the talks, Andrew Lochrie said that in cooperation between Imperial Tobacco Group and Hongta Group in the past, Chairman Liu Wandong extended great support and assistance to cooperation projects, and he expressed thanks to Hongta Group for its support to Imperial Tobacco Group. Andrew Lochrie said that Imperial Tobacco is very happy to have cooperation with Hongta Group, and that progress has been made in bilateral cooperation in the respects of brands, technology, production, etc, expressing the hope of Imperial Tobacco Group to development more and better cooperation with Hongta Group in future. Also speaking at the talks, Li Suiming said it has been 10 years since Hongta Group began pleasant cooperation with Imperial Tobacco Group, with the existence of relatively good communication and exchange between the two sides in the respects of brands, technology, production, management, etc. He expressed thanks to Imperial Tobacco Group for its support to Hongta Group in past cooperation, and expressed the hope that the two sides will strengthen communication and exchange in market development and marketing in future. Speaking on the same occasion, Roberto Ascoli expressed the hope that the two sides will maintain the relationship of friendly cooperation established over the past 10 years, in order that they will be able to make new progress in terms of market development, production management, technological innovation, etc. Also present at the talks were leaders from the international affairs department of Hongta Group. The Imperial Tobacco delegation also included greater China regional managing director Fang Jinxiang, China regional project manager Daniel Pradilla and China regional general manager Wang Shuwen.
