Schweitzer-Mauduit Delegation Visits HongyunHonghe Tobacco

A delegation from Schweitzer-Mauduit of the United States, led by Executive Vice President Michel Fievez for Reconstituted Tobacco Business, visited HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on February 20, holding in-depth talks with HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Yao Qingyan on bilateral business cooperation. During the visit, the Schweitzer-Mauduit delegation exchanged views and jointly made explorations with Yao Qingyan on relevant technological issues concerning bilateral business cooperation. Yao expressed the hope for HongyunHonghe to develop cooperation with Schweitzer-Mauduit in reduction of the tar level and content of other harmful substances in cigarettes, improvement of flavors, etc, in order to turn out more cigarette products with unique characteristics. Michel Fievez said that Schweitzer-Mauduit has maintained a favorable relationship of cooperation with HongyunHonghe for many years, that Schweitzer-Mauduit is fully confident in HongyunHonghe as a competitive enterprise, and that Schweitzer-Mauduit will strive to well operate the joint venture between the two sides in accordance with the requirement of development of competitive cigarette brands by HongyunHonghe.
