Imperial Announces Board And Management Changes

At the end of Imperial Tobacco Group's annual general meeting today, Pierre Jungels will retire as a non-executive director, having served nine years on the board. 'As a result Mark Williamson has been appointed senior independent director and Malcolm Wyman has been appointed chairman of the audit committee,' the company said in a press note, which also announced the appointment of David Haines, the CEO of Grohe AG, as an independent non-executive director. 'We have also strengthened our regional management team with the recent appointments of Roberto Ascoli, formerly of Unilever and Symrise, as regional director Asia-Pacific, and Kevin Freudenthal, formerly of UST and Altria, as regional director Americas,' the press note said.
