Hongta Group Meets on Achievements in Energy Conservation, Emission Reduction

Hongta Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - a leading Chinese tobacco manufacturer - held an annual meeting on October 25 to appraise and grade major achievements of its subsidiaries in energy conservation and emission reduction in efforts to fulfill targets for energy conservation and emission reduction set by the State. A total of seven major achievements made by subsidiaries of Hongta Group in energy conservation and emission reduction, including "Closed Recovery and Comprehensive Utilization of Condensation Water in Leaf Tobacco Threshing and Redrying Lines" and "Reduction of Electricity Consumption at Warehouses of Finished Products", were appraised and graded. At the meeting, the leadership of Hongta Group announced a package of tasks and requirements of Hongta Group for further promoting the work of energy conservation and emission reduction in an in-depth way, in striving to build Hongta Group into a model enterprise of China's tobacco industry outstanding in energy conservation and emission reduction. In line with the targets for appraisal and grading as well as the order determined through the drawing of lots, the parties that made the major achievements from Yuxi, Dali, Chuxiong and Zhaotong Cigarette Factories of Hongta Group specifically made introductions of the situations under which their projects of research and development for energy conservation and emission reduction were registered for execution, the programs of solution, the processes of solution, the results of solution, proof of efficiency, etc. At the meeting, a panel of experts from Beijing New Century Consultation and Certification Co., Ltd., editorial advisory board members from the national energy control system and Yunnan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation earnestly appraised and graded the achievements one by one. Representatives from the four cigarette making subsidiaries based in Yunnan, the technology center, the office of the production safety control commission, the equipment and technology affairs department, the general office and the economic operation department of Hongta Group also attended the meeting.
