China: Key Cigarette Factory Honored for Energy Saving, Emission Reduction

Honghe Cigarette Factory – a key cigarette making enterprise affiliated to HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China’s tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – has recently been honored as an outstanding enterprise in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction for 2010, as a result of its fine performance in energy conservation and emission reduction in the year.
At the 2011 annual working conference on energy conservation and emission reduction held in Yunnan’s provincial capital city of Kunming on September 28, China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Corporation honored and awarded a number of model enterprises and model individuals with the tobacco industry of Yunnan for their commendable performance in energy conservation and emission reduction in the 2006-2010 five-year period and also in the year 2010.
Over recent years, Honghe Cigarette Factory, with a high sense of social responsibility, has promoted the drive of energy conservation and emission reduction in an in-depth way through promotion of technological innovation, increase of efficiency in production and operation, and strengthening of comprehensive management.
In 2010, Honghe Cigarette Factory adopted powerful measures to fulfill the work of energy conservation and emission reduction in an in-depth way. As a result, it realized year-on-year reduction of comprehensive energy reduction in cigarette production per case, with emissions in cigarette production drastically reduced, and with indexes of energy consumption and emission keeping going down.
Eventually, Honghe Cigarette Factory was rated as an outstanding enterprise in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction in performance grading by Yunnan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation for the year 2010. Enditem
